While its fully opened, circular blossoms are undeniably beautiful, there is a quiet elegance in the half-open buds and the neatly folded petals as they rest. To watch its ever-changing shape and the way its vines reach out to find support is to realize that plants are far more active and spirited than we often imagine.
At the tips of their vines, morning glories possess a light-sensing organ that allows them to "see" the transition between day and night. In a sense, they perceive the world just as our eyes do. Though we are shaped differently, both plants and animals share the same fundamental senses to recognize and exist within this world, living our lives in harmony with the rhythm of the sun.
